Welcome to The Healing Place. Avril set up The Healing Place in 2025 in order to offer therapy services and healing services to individuals and families. To walk alongside you on your healing journey.

Avril is a Systemic Family Psychotherapist and Social Worker. She supports individuals, children, teenagers, couples and family groups. ​Avril has been working with vulnerable families and communities in Ireland and abroad since 2009.

She is very experienced working with: 

- Families, couples, carers and complex relationships

- Children and Teenagers, child protection, foster care, parenting support programs, attachment and trauma and dyadic developmental psychotherapy

- Mental health, neurodiversity, disability and acquired illness  

- Grief and Loss and managing transitions

Avril also has a passion for learning about different cultures and ancient healing modalities. She has trained in different healing techniques that originate from Ireland, Africa, South America and Asia. These include Tera Mai Reiki, Shamanic Healing and Rahanni Celestial Healing.

Avril's goal is to offer a safe therapeutic relationship so that you may access a deeper level of physical, emotional, mental and spiritual healing.
